I'm moderately bored at work so I thought I'd make a sly attempt at passing time with this livejournal thingy. Chester and I have been discussing "iporn" for a little while. If you wish to learn more this exciting business proposition please slide $100 cash under our door.

In other news I think the trip to Canada has fallen through. I proposed an alternative concept involving getting absolutely cockfaced in the dorms for a few nights; I'm not sure how that has been received as of yet. If I do come back from spring break early I surely do hope there are enough people around so that I can amuse myself being stupid drunk in front of them. Being drunk with noone around to showboat for really does kill your self-esteem -- for sections of the night you remember anyway.

Anyway, I suppose I best be getting back to "work," which usually consists of liberal amounts of AIM, BBC and WSJ.com.

I advise you to check out my photos. Oktoberfest was absolutely crazy. Heres a few short stories/highlights.

- In one of the halls it is a tradition for women to throw their bras over this object hanging from the ceiling. Jeff and I tried all night to get random girls/women to do it.

- We met this guy that would blatantly stare at breasts. We kept making him go up to attractive blonds and stare down there shirts. You may notice him in some of the photos, black shirt, blackish hair. Funny guy.

- Although the fairgrounds are about a 10 minute walk away from the hostel we stayed in, we decided to take the metro back one night. We were separated instantly and I wandered the city for about an hour and a half before somehow I found my way back. The second night we got separated again, found eachother in the hostel bar, left, got lost and took a taxi back.

More will come back to me I'm sure, but all I know is that it was perhaps the most interesting weekend of my life. I can't wait to take my dad here in a few years.

I hate having second thoughts about the second thoughts I previously had. I ended something brilliant because I was curious about other opportunities and I was having second thoughts. Now, after exploring these other opportunities (talking with other female units), I'm becoming more and more convinced that I've perhaps made the wrong decision. Most of the girls I've met fall into the following categories:

1. Hot but bitchy. If you don't fall into their predefined level of hotness, they won't even talk to you.
2. Stupid. They are dumb. Impossible to sustain a conversation with.
3. Rich and Obnoxious. I'm not against the rich, I'm just against people that let you know it over and over again. "Oh I don't care, my Dad will pay for it anyway" etc.
4. Ugly. I hate to say it, but looks are at least something. If you say they aren't you are definitely full of crap.

I'm sure you can create a few more categories, but in my experience it is the above that are most prevalent.

In conclusion, if you find someone that does not fall into one of the above categories, its probably best that you stay with them, because you'll only regret it later in life.

Last night was rather fun, I decided to be more laid back than normal (i.e. only get mildly drunk) in order to observe the rest of our "clan's" behavior. Drunk people are really, really funny. You can convince them to do the stupidest things relatively easily, and listening to them slur their speech/say stupid shit is enlessly entertaining.

A few friends decided to hit up another bar last night, after drinking two of what can only be described as a "beer tower", a 4 liter beer container that almost touches the ceiling. On the way there apparently someone knocked over a sign that proceeded to smack into a car and create a whole bunch of noise. What happens next is the scary part -- the car's owner came of the apartment with a butcher knife, got into the car, and chased them off of the street.

What the fuck.

So yeah, France is pretty cool bitches.

France is basically a haven for the lazy. Ive never seen this many lazy people in my entire life.

Im typing this on a french keyboard. Its a fucking pain in the ass, the keys are all switched around and stuff.

Im really not surprised that the french economy is going down the shit hole. Im yet to meet a frenchie with any semblance of a work ethic. Requiring ones citizens to work no more than 35 hours a week would do that I suppose.

Internet access here is sporadic to say the least. However, I find this to be quite invigorating. Being without constant internet access or even a cell phone gives me a sense of freedom that is lacking elsewhere.

Meeting people is a bit of a chore due to my distinct lack of the french language, but most of the people from AU are OK. It has pretty much just been "the guys" and a bunch of cheap wine every night. Last night was the first time since being here that we went to bed sober.

Is it really gay for a guy to like shopping? I mean, I'm not obsessed with shopping or anything, but sometimes I do enjoy to stroll around the mall popping in to certain stores. Today I picked up a few polo shirts, and threw out a crap ton of older tshirts I really can't imagine wearing again. It was quite fun picking through my closet, extracting various tshirts that I seriously had not seen in two or more years.

Anyway, I'm off to France a week on Monday and I'm starting to get rather excited. I think the most exciting thing for me is the possibility of seeing my Tottenham Hotspurs in action. I purchased a membership to the supporters club, because apparently its almost impossible to get even a single ticket without it. Seems a bit of a shame to go by myself, and a bit dangerous, but I'll see what I can do to blend in. Apparently one of our family friends in England got stabbed a few years back at a Leeds United game. Scary stuff.

I've been spending a lot of time managing my various fantasy Premier League teams, and you'll be glad to hear I'm in the top 4% of players worldwide in the official game.

One last thing -- Should I blow $400 on some turntables? I fancy myself as a killer DJ, spinning records like a true player.

Oh and Kevin dear sir, its been nice talking to you lately. I checked my checking account balance this morning, it was definitely a nice surprise to finally see some money piling up in it.

I'll leave you this morning with some bands/albums that anybody even remotely into hip hop should check out. I suppose it's just the five albums I can't stop listening too at the moment.

1. K-os -- Joyful Rebellion
2. Aesop Rock -- Labor Days
3.
Haven't spoken to you in a while poor journal, I'm sure you've missed
my nonsensical musings and drunken soliloquies. Barely anything has
passed since we last met, I have a new tedious day job, but other than
that much remains the same. The good news is I've been drinking
steadily for the past few weeks, perhaps I'll return to the wonders of
drunken journal writing sometime soon.

I have 6 gallon jugs full of a revolting, bubbling, ghastly smelling
juice sitting next to my garage door. Referred to as "hobo wine" by
some, a more applicable name would be "smelly shit juice." Alas, I only
care about one thing: will it get me sufficiently drunk? I'll be sure
to post the results from this exciting escapade in a few weeks, after
it has finished "brewing." The term is much more
fitting for beverages that are actually drinkable, and until this has
been proven I am skeptical. Chester came over and helped me prepare the
juice, it was fun, but shortlived. Hopefully the $45 spent on
ingredients was worthwhile, if not I'll be forced to drink my sorrows
away with some
other form of alcoholic beverage. Seems ironic.

Of course being the illustrious young mr crowther, I cannot just
have a brief experience with a new hobby, I am impulsive, and therefore
I must homebrew to the max.
The correct sources have been contacted (i.e. teh google), and orders will be
placed in due course. I will obtain a peer-recommended beer homebrew
starter kit, and I will attempt to create a perfect five gallon
batch. We'll see how that adventure turns out.

I'm becoming more and more excited about venturing on over to Europe in
the fall. Finding out that I'll have class only two days a week
set off some sort of trip-planning spark in my mind. Ibiza, Rome,
Oktoberfest -- I cannot wait to grace ye denizens with my presence.

Alas, it appears I have overstayed my welcome, my fifth beer has been
depleted and my stomach is crying out for a top up. Shame on you
bladder for cruelly emptying my body of the juice it desires so greatly.

If only pee could get you drunk.
Summer is without a doubt boring.

I had an interview with a company that creates software for big financial firms today. It was actually fairly cool, all the stuff they deal with, be it restricted stock, selling plans or something else, is related to what I was contemplating doing when I leave school. So yeah, that and ~$15/hour make this a very attractive job. Hopefully I'll hear by the end of the week.

In other news, I have a short and stupid story to share.

Yesterday at work my boss and I covered a dollar bill in honey, garlic powder, soy sauce, spray adhesive, mayo, ketchup and italian seasoning and proceeded to leave the bill in front of our sidewalk. It was hilarious watching people pick it up, curse, then attempt to remove it from their hands. One man in a suit picked it up, shouted, rubbed it on a bush and placed into his pocket. His pocket must have gotten totally dominated by that dollar. Odd that it was a suit-clad individual that picked the bill up, many younger kids had avoided that shit like the devil.

I visited Marg last weekend, that was very excellent, merely confirmed my suspicion that I had struck incredibly lucky with my first girlfriend. Barring some unforeseen circumstance she may be the only girlfriend I ever have. The trip was a lovely break from monotony, but it has made home seem so much more painful. Oh well. I did learn a horrible fact about horse care, apparently if a male horse is a gelding (poor horse) you have to use your hands to pull the penis from its sheath and clean it. That is disgusting.

Anyway, I'm incredibly excited about my trip to Europe, I cannot wait to visit all these places I've been dreaming about. I badly want to go to Ibiza, the island of drunkenness and dancing, but I do not think I can without my Margaret. If I put myself in her position, I would be absolutely furious at the thought of her going without me. At least now I have developed the maturity to put myself in her position, and as of late I've been handling the fact that we are apart a little better. Anyhow, the French Riviera awaits Jeff, Blake, John and I's arrival, and I hear they are eager to see what we are capable of. Drinking wise that is. Noone cares about school when they go abroad, and why an earth should they? Free and plentiful wine, wonderful beaches...Shit, I must not lose focus. I must raise much more monies before I can even contemplate ze trip overseas.

You know
how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 32% on proof

You scored higher than 79% on beer index

You scored higher than 92% on wine index

You scored higher than 93% on liquor index

Link: The Alcohol Knowledge Test written by hoppersplit on OkCupid Free Online Dating

Rare Update

I figured its near the end of the year so I'll give this updating thing a shot. Firstly I'd just like to say that school work is fucking annoying. I'm not sure its really worth all the effort, but I'll keep telling myself it is. The summer is fast approaching, which means I'll be free of this stressful routine. However, I will be effectively girlfriend-less, and the mundane school work will be replaced with the shittyness that is working retail.

Hopefully I can have some fun in the summer. I've been talking to a few kids back home, maybe about doing some drinking. Probably won't pan out, but its worth a shot. I figure I should go to a highschool party or two, mainly because I never did so when I had the opportunity. I do have England vs. Columbia to look forward to in late May. I'm not sure if I want to go on vacation with my parents this year. I badly need money for alcohol and baguettes so I can survive in France, and although it sounds stupid, 2 weeks of lost income on an all expense-paid trip is pretty foreboding. The exchange rate is so crappy that I'll need every fucking euro I can get my greedy hands on.

Talking of France, I'm hella excited. My three awesome roommates and I are sure to have an absolute blast. There are so many places that I want to go to in Europe, chief among them Ibiza and the beaches of Normandy in France.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I get back, especially in terms of the living situation. Perhaps I'll get an apartment with a friend or something of the sorts. The berks is going to be full of cool people. I've talked with the gf about rooming with her, but I'm really not sure I'm ready to make that step. It sounds like a great idea now, but what if we break up or lose interest in each other? We'll see how all that works out.

Alright, I'm done.
